Although 2020 has surely not been a year worth celebrating, MWS is proud to announce that we have completed construction and moved into our new location in Oxnard, CA. Since purchasing this property in 2016, MWS has been working towards this date and has invested significantly into a building that mirrors the ambition and commitment that MWS has towards its employees and customers. The focal point of this new building is a 25,000 ft² state-of-the-art manufacturing facility for fine wire production, with planned building additions adding another 50,000 ft². A 40,000 ft² warehouse completes the floor plan that is more than doubling the space available in our now retired facility in Westlake Village. Over the next 12 months MWS will add significant manufacturing capacity with new machines, but also add new capabilities in wire manufacturing and value-added services. Stay tuned.
Our goal is to build upon the formula of the last 50 years – customer service, quality, lead times and broad availability of precision fine wire – and meet the evolving and increasing demands of the next 50 years. There are many exciting developments to come! 2020 has also been the year of MWS Medical Wire with the addition of 5 new sales organizations serving 3 continents, the certification to ISO 13485:2016 in December and the purchase of strategic equipment for precious metal drawing and laser ablation. On top of a new medical website, MWS has also entered an exciting marketplace targeting early stage development of medical devices and is now the first wire company to feature products on Chamfr.com. With 3 new engineers supporting the sales, quality and manufacturing team, MWS is investing into the human building blocks for the next decades. We are excited for the future and look forward to getting down to the wire on new and existing projects. As always, we want to thank you for your loyalty and partnership.
