Nickel Plated Wire Properties
Nickel plating is also applied for various soldering, brazing and welding applications in which a highly pure nickel deposit is required. MWS does not use any brighteners (organic or metallic) to ensure the highest purity deposit available.
Nickel deposits on wire are often used in the spring and wire forming industry as a lubricious coating offering increased tool life. Abrasive metals such as beryllium copper and stainless steel can lead to premature tool failure without a nickel coating.
